A Web Development Agency for UK Businesses, Working Remotely from Lahore
We're a web development agency in Lahore, Pakistan, serving clients across the United Kingdom remotely. Lahore is five hours ahead of London in winter and four in summer, so a UK morning lines up with a Lahore afternoon.
Serving UK businesses remotely from Lahore
We have no UK office. We work in English, keep decisions in writing, and plan the project around the hours both sides share, so being in different countries doesn't slow the work down.
Since Brexit, the UK and the EU have taken different paths on data protection, so a site that serves both needs to be set up with care. And because we work from Pakistan, personal data we handle for you is leaving the UK, which needs the right paperwork before the project starts.
Where we serve clients
We serve businesses in all four nations of the UK. The core rules are UK-wide, though some public-sector requirements differ.
England
UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 set the rules for personal data, overseen by the Information Commissioner's Office.
Scotland
The same UK data protection framework applies. Public bodies in Scotland have their own accessibility and procurement guidance.
Wales
Bilingual sites in Welsh and English are common, and the Welsh Language Standards apply to many public bodies.
Northern Ireland
UK data law applies, and many businesses also trade with Ireland, where EU GDPR applies, so cross-border sites need both in mind.
UK privacy rules we build for
The UK kept GDPR as UK law after leaving the EU. It's now called UK GDPR and works alongside the Data Protection Act 2018. The Data (Use and Access) Act 2025, which received Royal Assent on 19 June 2025, amends both rather than replacing them.
One change matters for websites: the Act allows some cookies, such as those used for analytics or to remember preferences, to be set without prior consent, as long as visitors get clear information and a simple, free way to object. Cookie banners are still likely to be needed for advertising and other non-essential cookies, and the changes depend on rules being brought into force.
| Topic | UK | If you also serve EU customers |
|---|---|---|
| Main law | UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 | EU GDPR |
| Cookies | PECR, with some analytics and preference cookies exempt from consent under the 2025 Act | Consent required for non-essential cookies under the ePrivacy rules |
| Regulator | Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) | The data protection authority in each EU country |
Data transfers to Pakistan
The UK has not made adequacy regulations for Pakistan, so personal data sent to a supplier there needs a safeguard. The ICO's guidance names the International Data Transfer Agreement, or the UK Addendum to the EU's Standard Contractual Clauses, as the usual options, together with a transfer risk assessment.
On most projects we can limit what we see: test data instead of real customer records, and access to live systems only when a task needs it. Where we do need access, the agreement should be in place first. Your data protection adviser should confirm which option fits.
Payments and e-commerce
UK shoppers mainly pay by debit or credit card and are used to Apple Pay and Google Pay. Card payments online usually need Strong Customer Authentication, the extra verification step from a banking app or a one-time code, so checkouts should handle it without losing customers.
We set up checkouts with your chosen payment provider, show prices in pounds with VAT handled correctly for your business, and test the full flow on phones. For larger catalogues, see our enterprise e-commerce service.
Accessibility and language
The Equality Act 2010 requires service providers to make reasonable adjustments for disabled people, and that's widely understood to include websites. Public sector bodies have specific accessibility regulations. We design and build to WCAG 2.2 level AA.
If you need a Welsh version of your site, we build each language with its own pages and URLs, so both can be found in search. The Welsh copy itself should come from a fluent writer or translator.
Time zones
Lahore runs on Pakistan Standard Time (PKT, UTC+5), and Pakistan doesn't change its clocks for summer. The UK moves to British Summer Time from late March to late October, so the gap is five hours in winter and four in summer.
| Your location | Difference from Lahore | When it's 2pm in Lahore |
|---|---|---|
| London, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Belfast | 5 hours behind (4 in summer) | 9am (10am in summer) |
In practice, a UK morning overlaps with a Lahore afternoon. We agree regular call times with you and keep everything else in writing.
How we work with you remotely from Lahore
Every project follows the same steps, with calls in the hours both sides share and written updates in between.
Intro call
A video call at a time agreed with you, to understand the project, your users and your deadline constraints.
Written scope
A short document that lists what we'll build, what's out of scope and what we need from you, so nothing depends on a call someone missed.
Shared workspace
One project board and one message thread for your team and ours, so every decision is written down.
Working previews
A staging link you can open at any time, in your own time zone, to review progress.
Regular check-ins
A scheduled call at a time that works for both sides, plus written updates in between.
Launch and handover
